Good Morning, my old-fashioned blog readers. The few of you who still like to go old-school, and consume slow paced media, make me very happy. To help you engage more with that slower mindset, lets go for a little walk along the river.
The leaves were beginning to change colour, and one needed a sweater to be comfortably warm. The sun was becoming much more golden, and already we were seeing it go down earlier...
The area we went to, contains some of my favorite trails, because no matter the day or the weather, there is also so much beauty to be found.
Look at that sharp red! Such a contrast to the greens and yellows around it.
Stopping to nibble on a few chokecherries. We really hope we can have our own chokecherry trees one day.
Even some of the older, sadder trees were looking lovely. Unfortunately, some diseases have reached the city, and many of the trees are struggling.
Anyone else grow up watching the birds eat too many of these berries, then when the berries fermented in their stomachs, the birds would proceed to be quite drunk?
The river was very calm, and seemed to hardly be moving, thus you can see the reflection of the clouds so nicely!
We came across a little spruce that someone had put a few lights on. I am guessing maybe last winter!
This little guy couldn't have cared less we were there, and was digging around, nibbling on the roots of the grass, or so it appeared. He was definitely munching on something green.
Love, love, love these vibrant yellow colours so much. Totally my palette!
Coming across this archway nature created, with a view of the river at the end, was amazing. That extreme golden colour at the end? That the sun reflecting off trees and bushes on the other side of the river. That is just how incredible the sun was at this point of the day.
This photo shows the river a bit more clearly there, almost like a mirror!
Even just remembering these warmer days has made winter now feel a bit brighter. Looking forward to sharing more moments soon. Take care!
