There is nothing I love better than a spur of the moment road trip, to have a picnic in a park, among the trees. Even better is when you pack fancy treats to enjoy in the great outdoors.
This particular trip, we headed up more north of us, to a well-loved campsite area. We found this cute little campsite that wasn't being used and set up our little picnic. The bugs weren't too terrible, which is always a win here on the prairies.
You know I dived into the bush to check out some of the leaves, as I am fascinated by texture and colour of each plant.
This was our view while we snacked!
Always bring a bottle of sparkling cider and wine glasses. Plus, a little on-the-go charcuterie board we quickly put together, and some candy treats.
Peak levels of romanticizing your life, lemme tell ya!
Chatting about life, the future, doodling what we would like our forever home to look like, etc.
Cheers to doing impulsive, romantic things when the sun is high, and the wind is low.
