A Day In Canmore

Good Morning, bloggers! We decided to take a day trip over to Canmore, because I had heard about a bookstore there I really wanted to see. I ended up only buying a few gifts for other people, but it is such a cute shop, so let's go for a browse!

Main street in Canmore is so adorable, and it was surprisingly empty the day we were there, which is always what I prefer.

Many of the shops are painted pretty colours and several had gorgeous flower baskets that were still blooming, despite it being October. It felt very fantasy-esque, with tidbits of Hallmark Christmas Movies.

Arriving at the darling Cafe Books! Let's head on in.

Whoever had the idea to put trees in this place, what a unique idea. I love it! It feels quaint and different from a lot of the little bookstores popping up these days.

Note the vintage copy of Pride & Prejudice - how gorgeous!

Loved their little spooky set up, featuring Edgar Allan Poe, of course.

They also have a ton of gifty things, wrapping papers, and various goodies. Like a darling Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit bag!

Then you can go out the door, and across the hallway, to a used bookstore! They have really gone Lord of the Rings vibes with the decorating. Clearly, someone is a hobbit!

I mean, check out this door!

And just a random staircase being used a bookshelf. Everywhere I turned there was something creative and funky holding more books.

You know everywhere I go I find Maud's books. I have to! Dedicated to her, clearly.

One last snap from this cute spot, before we headed off to get some more Beavertail pastries!

We ended up sitting on a bench outside, eating the beavertails, and feeding the sparrows. These feisty wee birds come out of the woodworks for pastries, and they are so funny! Sadly, didn't capture any photos of this particular memory because beavertails are messy and sticky. HAHA

I will return tomorrow with a visit to somewhere we had never been before and encounter some endangered tiny creatures.
